Robert Taylor

With over 33 years of dedicated service to BNSF Railway, I bring extensive experience in railroad welding, safety, and operations to my role as a trainer and partner at RAZOR SAFE. During my time at BNSF, I served as Supervisor of Welding, overseeing welding operations, ensuring that teams had the tools, training, and support needed to perform with safety, precision, and efficiency. I also managed production switch & crossing grinding, as well as electric flash butt welding across the system.

My technical background includes formal training through BNSF’s internal programs and Johnson County Community College, along with comprehensive field training acquired throughout my career with BNSF and its affiliates. I worked closely with various departments on budgeting, planning, and implementing maintenance-of-way projects, always with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Joseph Pachak

I’ve spent two decades in the railroad industry, building deep expertise in track welding, FRA compliance, and safety training.

I began my career at BNSF Railway as a track welder and advanced into leadership roles, ultimately serving as Manager of Engineering Certification. In that position, I spent seven years teaching FRA 213 regulations, derailment prevention, and inspection strategies to field teams across the network.

My technical foundation includes an Associate of Science in Welding Technology (2005) and a specialized Certificate in Railroad Welding (2006). Today, as a partner at RazorSafe, I deliver hands-on instruction in track welding, MOW safety, and FRA standards—equipping railroad professionals with the skills and knowledge to do the job safely, efficiently, and in full compliance.
